i've got a slight prob my bike stopped running right so i've started to strip it and i noticed my tax disk was missing then i found where some little chav seems to have ript it off and i was wondering how i would go about gettin my tax back on it, or would i need to re tax it again?

Hi

You will need to apply for a duplicate. Not sure on the cost (£7~£8 I think) or just take your chances and ride without a tax disk until replacement time comes along.

Happened to me a few years back.

I reported it to the old bill (had to sit next to a nice man in a white paper suit who swore everytime he saw a police uniform) and got a crime number. Took the copper ages cos he would only type with one finger and insisted on spicing the story up.

Then popped along to the nearest DVLA centre where they replaced it.
