SV1000 vs Back of car
SV1000 wins
I had one, was a great bike, I miss it now, great for doing everything from commuting to tracksdays, wheelies to knee down.
I reckon the bkini faring ones look ace too, sound awesome with after market cans too.
Dont mention the MPG though |

If you're interested in an VTR firestorm, then I've got one for sale.
It's in good nick and I've just had it serviced.
It has to go as I've just bought a brand new Guzzi to go touring 2-up with the Mrs!!!
PM me if you're interested.
Mark

I've not ridden one, but have a few mates that have, and they say they are the bees knees. I ride the 650 version, have 35" inside leg and until recently all has been well. Ideally would like a little more space between seat and pegs...but its doable. ____________________ Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter, and those who matter won't mind - Dr. Seuss |

Finally an SV topic!
My Dad has an SV1000, in 6 years it's never caused him a single problem. The sound of an SV is orgasmic, it sounds like a purring cat it's not the most comfortable bike, but it's definitely not bad. I would only recommend not getting it if you're planning on doing like 100 miles a day on it :l
It's definitely powerful too, and speed isn't an issue, he was doing 160 the other day with me on the back. He's 6 ft and I've never heard him moan about it being uncomfortable ____________________ Doug97 wrote: Fuck you, what they did was awesome. Maintainance? Ha!
I never maintained mine, despite lots of shit wheelies, commuting and a track day, and still never had any problems, had it for almost 2 years, no chain and sprockets, no oil change, was still going fine at 20,000 miles. Someone stole it in the end, the jokes on them .
Oh yeah and it was running with no baffles and backfiring the whole time so the fuel injection was probably buggerd too.
Still no problems, bullet proof |
