MTX forks

Hi,

I want to change the forks on my project bike ( 92 mtx125rw-l ) I Have taken the knackered fork gators off and where the fork seals would be is badly worn and rotting away Shocked

. What i want to do is replace the crappy MTX forks with CR125 forks from the same year.

My question is if the forks from a CR dont fit the orignal clamps would i be able to swop the entire front end with CR forks and clamps easily???

hi,
personally think the mtx front end is better than the cr125.(from that era)
mines has those air adjustable forks, i presume they all have.
easy to work on, but lots of parts.
cheap to re-furbish.
