Right.. I work nights doing a 12 hour shift, on the average day i do 3-4 hours work then literally just wait for 7am to come. I can pretty much access anything at work however, i cant have access to anything that uses Flash - Ive tried to install it to my work PC but it says i dont have the authorisation, and i cant exactly ask the IT department to add it on.

Is there anyway (other than buying a laptop) that i can view sites such as youtube and bbc i player and gaming sites to cure boredom by by-passing the authorisation thing? Eg installing some sort of add-on to my USB Pendrive?

Hmm, well it's rare for a company to block flash... What exactly comes up when you try to access a site like YouTube?

Anyway, only thing I can think of is something like Portable Firefox. Might need to install Portable Apps though... not sure. It all runs off a USB drive so it'll do the job - unless the network admin has blocked flash content on a higher level (proxy/firewall).

Ive just tried to do it at work but not successful as soon as i started to get the download it sent me to the "send error report screen", i will have to download the app at home and try and see how it goes tonight

It's a perfectly reasonable thing to ask the IT department to install/enable. 98% of internet users have flash installed. Many sites use it for banner, navigation systems, examples, tours etc

the company i work for relates to facility management and we have no need to use the internet in work hours, we just use a call logging screen programme. they dont expect us to use the internet as we have no need to..so they would then know im being a deviant haha!
