hi guys my names Rob, 26 just taken to biking got myself a nice little NSR. I am planning to do a restricted liscence once i have done my theory to try and keep the cost down.

hey there as for DAS i have two kids and just cant warrant spending 600 quid on it. Also im in no rush for a bigger bike i know what the nsr is like unrestricted and that should do me just fine for the restriction and with 2 years experience im sure it will help when getting on a bigger bike. Thanks for the comment on the bike.

I did restrcited A2 mate, before the new test..still on my restriction period, its no biggy.

yeh seems the best route for me. Although i still dont understand why i have to take another theory test when i have been driving for 9 years, especially when there are only i think 2 bike specific questions. I suppose the government has to make money somehow lol

whats the price difference between DAS and A2?

how much is it to de-restrict your current bike? or to restrict a bigger bike?

just save a month or 2 longer and do the DAS, seems pointless to restrict yourself un-necessarily

600 quid for das or 10 quid for module 1 and 70 quid for module 2 bit of a difference and i wouldnt need to restrict a bike as i would stick with my nsr just have it unrestricted although the nsr wont change gear at the mo so trying to get that sorted

Taz, I was in a similar situation as you - kids and not much money. So I did the A2 and still fart about on the same 125, even after over a year after passing. It all depends how patient you can be really. Welcome aboard.

Just did my theory. When I did my driving theory I didn't have to do the hazard awareness so I suggest you practice that as much as you can mate. Its a pain in the ass. And as for the theory questions, they seem to have a lot more about first aid and the obvious inclusion of bike related questions.

If you want a theory disk I'm happy to send you my old one, I have no use for it now.

I did A2 a half a year ago.. I'm in no rush to jump on a bigger bike.. wife, 1 kid.. make my budget tight anyway.. I need a bigger car first.

I want a second bigger bike for longer trips, but there are other priorities at the moment.. Christmas is coming lol

well i'm 17, no kids! Doing the 1st part of my test next weekend, and did my theory last week, set me back £50 quid for it, rip off!!
