I have pdf of the parts manual and service manual but they are a few years old and the service one isnt the clearest, pm an email addy and i will forward them to you and anyone else. And thanks for the heads up on the haynes.

Acemastr eh? Anyway...

Haynes arrived on Saturday and it's really good. The photos are really clear and explanatory, especially to someone at my level (a bit past novice, with experience of things like chains, sprockets and minor servicing like oil changes behind me). In my opinion, it is a lot better than the PDF service manual (which is still pretty good but assumes a higher level of expertise).

It goes through pretty much any procedure you can do with the bike in great detail, and there's an awesome section at the back with info about using the right tools in the correct way etc. My missus now has some stiff competition for my time in the evenings now I have this book! Thoroughly recommended.

With that in mind, I am now very much considering doing the 20'000 mile service (although the book is saying every 3'750 miles rather than every 4'000... damn metric) myself and saving the £80 labour charge as well as the inconvenience of taking it there, waiting around etc.

Hi neil
Whats the 20k one consist of?, i have done the valves and that was ok once i had the correct feeler gauges, they were fairly slack from factory.
