This thread is worth every bit of bandwidth if its stop people with crashed '99 hornets with rust and paint missing claiming their bike is mint.

I've worked on loads of show cars in my time and the levels of obsession are unlimited. I once spent four days on a single MGF door skin, the guy would not accept any defects before it went into paint, no filler, no lead, just plain sheet metal work.

I don't really see anything special. He's doing a very light resto on a modern bike. I don't think it strange he's doing it, I see it strange taking so many detailed pictures of nothing. That is unless you find a picture of a genuine yamaha washer interesting.

Its more of a refresh and modify, and very good one at that Thumbs Up

Lol, 'cleaning', like there was anything wrong with it in the first place!

Doesn't do anything for me. Neutral

Now proper restorations, removing 20 years of 3mm thick rust to get a shine kinda stuff, now that would be worth viewing a long thread for. Thumbs Up

Looks like someone was diagnosed with OCD and mild Autism at an early age, and their parents gave them a set of spanners to keep them quiet.

25 years later, this is the result Rolling Eyes

Problems.

The guy is a tool, I cite the following evidence:

1. The yellow Samco hoses are disgusting.
2. He has a framed picture of some topless bint on a Ducati in his garage.
3. He has installed strip LED's under the tail - chavtastic!

The prosecution rests.

That bike was mint before he started.

Wish I had the time, patience and money though.
