hi guys right i was riding to work about 40 miles into the trip and heard a sort of rubbing noise so went to pull over and change down the gears but couldnt.

I stopped in a layby and couldnt get the gears to change so i got a lift back home with rac and stripped down the clutch and gear changer they both seem fine. It looks as if the gear changer is not rotating quite enough to change the gear.

Im in the middle of trying to get into the gearbox. I have the engine off the bike, head off, piston out and im stuck trying to get the rotor off (gonna take a trip to honda tommorow and see if they will be kind enough to lend me their rotor puller)

Im thinking it may be the gear change forks either bent/broken/missaligned? the oil that came out when i drained it seem to have metal particals in it and seemed quite dirty considering i only put fresh in over the weekend

If anybody has any other thoughts as to what it might be i would be very grateful for the input as i need to bike to be able to get to work

also found another issue one of my gears was fused to the spindle via its bush and a chewed up spacer washer in there to boot

awaiting parts now so i can replace the bush and start putting it back together over the weekend
