Looks like the statistics scam where they dispatch a bike to assess the situation because it can get there quicker so can put they responded within xx minutes (whatever the current target is).

This is despite the bloke not being able to do anything and the subsequent 3 to 5 hour wait for the recovery truck to turn up.

Is that in London? (going by phone number on the truck?)

In London they also have the electric scooters aswell Laughing

They could be quite handy to be fair, the vans rarely fix anything that requires any though process, and in busy citys you'd be waiting ages for a van anyway!

Better than waiting 2 hours for a small van to get to you through traffic, and then the 3-5 hour wait for the flatbed.

When the average speed in London is 16.9mph (at peak hours it drops to 10mph), it makes complete sense.

I think their introducing them to Birmingham. I don't really think their intended to fix bikes, there more like replacing flat tyres, jump starting cars (they have a seperate battery jump starter thing) etc. There was a piece on them in one of the bike mags a few months ago, they can carry alot of tools, and yea their electric.

would be handy if they are going to be quicker than the vans and if you need a van then one could be called but just for quick problems they are handy Thumbs Up

I went past a 650 Burgervan AA scooter in Sheffield yesterday too - they are spreading by the looks of it.
