Hi Libby, well I'm sure a lot of other people here will say the same, Honda CG. Reliable robust and very easy to ride and look after, this is what you will more than likely do your cbt on or possibly a yamaha ybf. The CG is reasonably priced to buy and you shouldn't lose to much when you sell it on as they are always in demand. If your very tall you might find it a bit cramped, thats why I went for a Honda Varadero, is there a bike shop near you where you can go and have a sit on a bike? Welcome to the forum, I'm sure you will enjoy your time here and benefit from all the experience available, I certainly have.

Don't forget some gear - a helmet that fits well, some gloves and some kind of boots are essential imo - abrasion protective jacket and trousers too if you can. Don't need to spend a fortune, check used on eBay (often hardly used for lasses gear).

+1 for CG, does the job without fuss.

Oh, and there may be a flood of sarcastic/sexist posts soon due to the way your post may come across, don't be too sensitive and roll with the banter and you'll be fine.

As said, CG is a good choice, but there's also the Yamaha YBR 125, and now the CBF125 too (new so virtually no second hand ones about yet but looks good). lol

Edit: Don't just narrow your search to guys that can help you. There are quite a few fine ladies who frequent these forums.
