If you're suggesting nobody should 'slag a bike' for the looks, presumably no one has the right to compliment it either - as it's the same thing on the other end of the scale. Don't see you complaining about that.

Further, the number of questions on here asking 'would my fairings look good in red' or whatever suggests that a hell of a lot of people do mod bikes with the consideration of how others look.

I too, as has been pointed out, do seem to get pleasure from the way others consider my bikes looks - but in this case that it's obvious I haven't done it for tart reasons, possibly making me as bad a tart the real ones Wink

Plenty of people manage to regularly go faster than those speeds without getting 'done'.
Furthermore, a bigger bike will do it in first gear on one wheel Wink

I don't mind them, although that particular example looks vile in my opinion. If I wanted a middleweight 'sporty' bike, I'd buy one over a Hornet or Fazer, despite their quality and performance advantage.

I think all SV's are fantastic machines. Great engine's, nice looking and pretty darn nifty! To top it all off you can pick up a nice example for a decent price.

I have the SV1000s and it is in my opinion the mutts nuts and under right conditions will easily keep with any bike on the road.

Cannot comment on a track basis as I have no track experience.

g i was aiming more at the point of poeple saying "whats the point of modding a bike like a sv, bandit, rs125, fazer etc" and when thay see a modded one then they say its shit... just because they dont like they bike not they mods

i can see why people dont like the sv650 but those poeple will have a bike to suit there tastes. if few people hate gsx-r 1000's does that then make it a shit bike, people like what they like and there for will drive what they like Wink
