Has it always done it?

Lots of 2 strokes seem flat low down (How low is low?)

Also suspect the power valve seizing if it has one.

What bike is it?

Have you ridden a 2 stroke before Question

Feeling gutless at low revs goes with the territory, you just need to treat the throttle like an on off switch Wink

most 2-strokes are pretty gutless down low, i just try to keep the revs above 7.5k if i want some power but if im just cruising around town and what not then about 5-7k is fine.

the only 2 stroke i had was a ts50 bout 6 yrs ago lol. as for this bein a crosser not a roadbike i tend to keep her in the high revs on a track anyway. but when kicken her over she takes a few kicks plus when u kick it u have to slowly throttle it till the revs are up or she dies once u have the revs up its fine revin up and lettin them come down. guess its just me lol. might have the carb off and clean her out . maybe thats just the way the bike is just thought it was strange as a mate has a yz 125 and that excelerates fine and goes like hell

sounds like its running lean for some reason. blocked jets, kinked fuel pipe etc etc

put it this way, does it struggle to pull away without revving it hard?
