Clean up music library

Hi, i'm wondering if somebody could help.... I'm fed up with looking at duplicate files in my iTunes music library and have decided to clean it up.

Can anybody here recommend a good utility that will go through my music collection flag up the duplicates and offer me a quick and easy way of deciding what to delete/keep.

I've tried using the 'Show Duplicates' option in itunes but i have over three thousand duplicates and the way it displays them is turning it into a big pain in the arse.

Any ideas, tips, have any of you had similar problems?

don't use iTunes.

mediamonkey works much better i think. very customiseable

I've used Musicbrainz Picard (also a fingerprinting system) a fair bit but found it had trouble handling certain things (live tracks particularly). If tuneup actually works well then I don't begrudge a $20 spend.
