They run them alot in the US, there legal in most states over there.

Not seen a bike over here with one before though, I think it looks rubbish anyway to be honest!

Im getting an integrated led rear light so i thought it would tidy it up. I also dont like the tail tidys with the heat shield for the exhaust, which most UK ones do.

Very similar to my set up.

I got pulled for it again yesterday, and after a lot of banter with the cop he decided it's a grey area and did me for no plate illumination

smashing fucking bike there Salty.

Over here our plates aren't as big as those planks you guys have to strap to the back of your bikes.

However our regulations state that the plate must be able to be seen from a 'birds eye view' at the rear of the bike.
So effectively you must be able to stand at the rear of the bike and look straight down and be able to see the plate protruding from the rear.
They advise a 45 degree angle.
You must also have a red reflector at the rear of the bike which typically is on the plate or the plate holder. Of course it also has to be illuminated.

All that said, I know guys who have them up under the tail like N30s and have had no probs after 2 years.
