Now before you dismiss this thread as insanity, hear me out.
I got to thinking about how ugly or misfitting draggin, harvarson, etc jeans are, and how even if they look good they have relatively few kevlar patches (reserved strictly for common road rash areas).
I came across Blade-Runner kevlar clothing, and after perusing their bland hoodies, I noticed kevlar long johns for 50ish sheet.

This would open up a world of opportune, as I could wear any trousers, jeans or combats, and still have protection against road rash. However, before buying I need some answers:

1)Would kevlar LJs be hot and uncomfy for walking about in warm lecture rooms?
2)Would Velcro CE protectors stick to kevlar?
3)Could I buy kevlar textile to stitch into my existing hoodies and wear a CE torso protector to be removed at uni/place of work?

From then on, I and the bicycle feelings deeper.

I'm thinking that the chances of crotch rot would be up ten fold if wearing protective long Johns. My Draggin jeans make me a lot hotter than the Levis.

I currently sit sweltering in my textiles though Sad
Though today for the first time on my 600 I went out in just jeans. I'm a big girl's blouse when it comes to protection, though I was fine in jeans and trainers on my 125.

A slash on the legs can easily prove fatal through blood loss. This product simply offers a 180gm layer of Kevlar protection for use by anyone who feels that they may be vulnerable to a knife attack.

Mmm, but a slash is good for bladder relief Laughing

Why sit sweating in textiles..... Just wear normal stuff underneath and take the textiles off.....

Makes you seriously wonder about the level of common sense in students these days......

Laughing My locker isn't big enough to stick my trousers, jacket, helmet and boots in. Bigger locker this year, will fit helmet, boots and small body armour.

I have kevlar sleeves and gloves which I got through work Whistle But would still wear the jacket on the bike, I find draggin adequete for the bottoms though, unless going for a spirited ride.

Hood do do jeans with kevlar all over, but I prefer the ones just lined in the 'danger zones'... so far I've never got road-rash on the bank of my knee, for instance Smile.

Ultimate solution, which does take a bit of space to store, is a Roadcrafter or similar one-piece textile suit. Takes under thirty seconds to put on when you've got the knack, I'd say and offers lots of other benefits.
I've got a 42R for sale as I've just got myself a 42L in 'lime yellow' ... and, honest, I'm not just saying it's good 'cos I got one to sell Razz.
