Relating to THIS THREAD.

Should be a good cross section of people on here who've done CBT in the past.

Wondering how long people took and if they were charged for any additional days.

Damn, it didn't put my last option on and I can't go back to edit the poll.

Could one of the mods add "More than two days and I WAS charged extra." please?

I did mine in 1991, 4 of us with 1 instructor, 2-3 hours in the morning riding around cones in a playground, then another couple hours in the afternoon out on the road. Really can't remember how much it was, £50 rings a bell.

Did mine nearly 2 years ago, cost £90, and only 1 person had to go back the next day, but they don't charge extra, the company I went with guarantee you passing within 2 days if you don't pass on the first.

Did mine last year, my clutch control was a bit meh so they said I couldnt do the road section and that I could comeback another day for the afternoon but would have to pay £25 for bike hire/insurance.

So yeah i went back and did 2 hours on the road and passed.

Mentioned this before in the yonder...

Couldn't get to grips with the bike on my first day due to a few reasons so I went back the following week, was out for twenty minutes, asked if I felt ok about the bike and my abilities now, said yes and walked away with a coloured piece of paper...

Took my own helmet and gloves although I could have been kitted head to toe in their gear, didn't get charged for the ' Second day ' as stated when I booked it in case it was needed, 90 pounds all in...

I've done 3 CBT's in total and every one of them took no longer than a day.

Nearly didn't pass my first one though cause I ended up popping a wheelie accidently on the way back to the training centre, still let me off though.

Mine only took about 3 - 4 hours Laughing I had driving experience and a tiny bit of experience on a bike so I got the hang of everything quickly, and knew the rules of the road Thumbs Up Plus, the other bloke was doing his third CBT so it was just a day out on a bike (YBR) for me. Cost £120.

Don't blame you to be honest. My first off was a couple of weeks after my CBT at least Rolling Eyes Emergency stop gone wrong. Only used front brake and finally stopped by sliding along the road with me still hanging on for unknown reasons 0.o

I had two goes at CBT.

First time round it was all going well, till the very last roundabout before going back to centre, where I have apparently pulled in front of car in dangerous way.

Which really annoyed me at the time, but now thinking about it, it’s fair enough... They should not let someone who is not good enough on the road.

Then I had to pay extra £50 (I think) for second day and that was just road bit. After which I got my cert.

Now I have my licence still probably pull in front of cars in what could be considered dangerous way, but who does not make mistakes on road?!

About £100 2 1/2 years ago, which included the hire of a bike and gear if required. There were 2 of us on the course, I passed first time but the 16 year old lad didn't as he had zero confidence on the road and refused to go much above 15-20mph. Not sure if he had to pay for the extra training.

paid £120 last year, did the onsite training in one day, then came back a week later to do the on road part of the CBT charged no extra.

My mum was with the same company she did 2 half days on onsite training , and then another day to do the on road part of the cbt same price(£120).

good deal really as they were good teachers and didnt mind that neither me or my mum had even touched a bike before going.
