There's something about my MZ i just hate. Sick
In the two months i've had her she's thrown me off once...Two months later i still walk with a limp.
She's also left me stranded,or doing the walk of shame five times.
How can i bike do 14 miles on reserve one day and then 3 days later run out after 6 miles.
It's my only transport and i start every journey wondering if i am going to get there,I am fed up with Das Bitch.
I'm now trying to fix a puncture on her just so i can get to work tommorow. What a bitch! It took me an hour just to get the tyre off and the tube was in the way so i pinched that with a tyre lever Evil or Very Mad
I know it's not her fault but still..

I'm stuck with her now (I can't afford a divorce, at the moment) but i hate her with a passion Sad

Anybody ever felt this way about a bike?

By the sound of things anything that could have went wrong has went wrong. Like you say its not the bikes fault.

Good luck with the puncture

I got one after passing my test on an RD250, I thought it would be the same, but bigger Crying or Very sad

Wrong, what a pile of sh1t. It put me off Suzukis for years, and by years it was 31 years till my next Suzuki Laughing

If anyone offers you one, run away laughing.

Suzuki SV650. I found it embarrasing towards the end, was totally frustrated with the handling and it couldnt keep up with anything over 400cc in a straight line, let alone in the bends.

Had to go. Sad

Sounds more like events conspiring against you rather than the bike itself from what you say.

@Polarbear. I think you've hit the nail on the head, you expected it to be like the RD and it wasn't. The GT500 is a good motorcycle but totally different to an RD250. You were expecting a revvy, lightwieght bike with a vicious powerband but you bought a grunty, torquey, low revving speedbarge (for its era).

Bet if you rode one now, you'd have a different view of it. I had a T500 a few years back and the way it delivered power amazed me. Pulled hard from 2,000rpm and just kept delivering linear power all the way up the rev counter. Bit of a behemoth handling-wise but not short on speed or acceleration and without the need to constantly stirr the gearbox. It would do around 115mph but it would sit at 100mph all day long without complaining.

Brakes might as well not have been there though.

EDIT: Back on topic. I was once given a 600 diversion as a courtesy bike. On paper it's a perfectly good motorcycle. In actuality, it's the most bland and boring motorcycle I've ever ridden.

My old RS125... I loved it but hated it. Just never knew how long it was going to last before something broke on it but when it was working it was an amazing bike to ride.

My ZX6R now, I love the ride and power of it but I hate the colours. It was in too good condition to turn down when I saw it though.

I seem to have a love hate relationship with all of my bikes for one reason or another.

I've had two bikes I hated. Number one was a RD250 bought new in 1979 and was the biggest pile of poo going. It spent it's entire life (while I had it) only running on one cylinder. The dealer never found the issue and I hated it with a passion.
Number two on the list was a Suzuki Burgman 400. Would never start and was always stalling. Both the above bikes were exchanged within a year.

Not really.

I've had bikes I later discovered I didn't actually like; but I could have got along with them if I wasn't so picky. My CBR400 and Hornet for example, lasted 5 weeks before I traded them in.

Suzuki's are and will be quite prominent in this thread I think. They are cheap and mostly nasty.

I hated the fact my GSXR gear lever kept sticking a the sight of road salt.

Bandit 400 carbs can be a pain in the arse and the plugs need to be good.

I think the only bikes I haven't had bother with are ZXR750 L3's.

Never hated any bike though

Nothing wrong with them. But I felt the engine lacked the charm of my recently written off NC30 (at the time), it was also a little on the cramped side. At the end of the day, I can't really literate why I didn't like the thing, guess we never 'bonded'.

None of the other CBRs I've had have lasted that long. I used to think it was an inline-four thing, but I got along fine with my CB1 and Superfour... Neutral

The ped I started out on. A motoroma wasp. It wouldn't run in the rain, the 3 litre fuel tank barely got me between petrol stations, the fuel gauge read empty from about half a tank, which combined with the lack of a working speedo or odometer meant I kept running out of fuel. I bought a proper geared 125 as soon as I could afford it.

A shaft drive Kawasaki GT750 - seemed like a 'sensible' touring orientated bike at the time but soon seemed to become a donkey with mediocre handling which could easily get out of shape when asked to go a bit fast.
To be fair it was reliable enough except for the typical 80s bike requirement of frequent ignition coils replacements.
At it's worst I had Avon roadrunners on it which were just appallingly easy to spin out on corners; they also refused to wear out (partly because you didn't dare push them I expect).

Yamaha XJ900 which replaced it was everything the GT should have been and more - it looked a hell of a lot better too.

Only bike I haven't liked was a curvy SV650 I had as a courtesy bike a few years back. Couldn't wait to see the back of it.
