 |
|
I really want to get a classic bike again, i classify 'classic' as pre-80s really.. but would take an 80's bike all the same.. my CD250 just doesen't cut it after coming down from a CB750 (79)
The CD's a lovely bike in all respects, but its light and nimble and i feel 'safer' and more in control of heavier bikes...
So heres the question, what old classic bike/s should i look at upgrading to??
I love my Hondas.. purely for the reliability and easy to get parts, but could be tempted by other japanese brands or even british bikes should they arise..
im not a fan of 2 strokes either...
General sort of bike i like are the muscle bikes.. or the real vintage looking machines like the Dnper or Cossack sort of bikes.. wide fenders and wheels... etc etc
So... recommendations?? ____________________ Bringing Classic Bikes Back Into Fashion

I know exactly where your coming from, I love retro bikes and at present riding a CD250U and although I am always looking for another retro I cant find fault with the little honda apart from lack of power but you ride to what youve got, Ive considered all sorts from pan europian to jawa to suzuki LS650 to C15 to zephyr to ect ect ect and at the end of the day if its a motorcycle thats all that really counts, good luck and I know Ive been no help but let us know what you get ____________________ Ride safe |

Another vote for the XS650, but if you want something bigger, how about a nice BMW R100RS?

I almost put 400/4 instead of the Beemer - love the exhaust.

GS thou? I don't like suzukis but that's two hands full of big, rorty, 70's aircooled motorbike.
Laverda Jota is a fairly meaty bit of kit too.
Late model Norton Commando?
Another CB750? ____________________ “Rule one: Always stick around for one more drink. That's when things happen. That's when you find out everything you want to know.”
I did the 2010 Round Britain Rally on my 350 Bullet. 89 landmarks, 3 months, 9,500 miles. |
