....when you were younger, or even now, as an adult, you can't bring yourself to watch it again?

What film really got you bad?

My vote goes to Fire in the Sky

https://www.scifi-movies.com/images/v/visiteursextraterrestres1993film/affiche.jpg

I must have recorded it when I was about 11/12 on VHS, and started it watching it one day and once he was on the spaceship, I couldn't physically watch the rest of it.

I think it's the only film I couldn't watch due to being so terrified of it!

I did watch the rest a few days later, in the middle of the day, with my mum and dad, and I think it still scared the hell out of me! Laughing

Anyway, I just got a copy of it and will watch it later, and let you know if it's still scary!

So....what films do you remember?

communion with christopher walken.

the part when he comes down the stairs of the cabin and the camera pans the living room to glimse a 'beings' head move behind a piece of furniture.

I've mentioned this before, but a scene from Exorcist 3 where a nurse is walking down checking the rooms. This goes on for a moment or two, then out of nowhere this fucking statue thing comes out of one of the rooms. Absolutely filled my pants with brown, tar-like matter.

This is it here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zH8ynu0jRvY

Bear in mind I haven't watched that vid, I can't bring myself to do it for some reason, its gay I know, but imagine you are not expecting a thing and how much it'd scare the crap outta ya.

Also a scene from poltergeist 2 where the kids brushing his teeth in the mirror, turns around to shout down to his mom, and then "something" comes up in the mirror behind him. Fucking fucking horrible, especially when you are 12 and have no idea what you're watching because you channel flicked onto it Sad.

I don't enjoy the bit in "IT" where the photo moves either, again because I wasn't expecting a thing.

I also used to find the scene in "Ghost" where the demons come up to drag them to hell very disturbing, it's the fucking noises they make *shudders*.

Right, on that note I'll get back to having my bra fitted.

Thrill Seekers/The Time Shifters.

Clicky

Traumatised as a young child, I tried watching the trailer and had to turn it off because of the creepy guy in it. I've since downloaded it but can't bring myself to watching it.

Just watched Fire in the Sky, was alot better than I thought it was going to be! Not quite so scary as I remembered, but the abudction scene is still pretty grim, and the filming at that part is great, with all the zero-g, and set design.

A good watch!

That exorcist thing just shat me up. Fell for the oldest trick in the book, quiet vid, so turned up the speakers.

Haha hook line and sinker. Now imagine you are 14 years old and watching that shit!

If you mean the american one, then its laughable compared to the japenese original, which me an 2 mates watched at 1 in the morning after smoking copius amounts of marijuana. Not a smart move. My one mate refused to go home and stopped at mine, the other had to walk through some nasty ass dark alley and we saw him start bolting it through there from my window.

So we phoned his mobile, he answered,
"where are you?"
"In the fucking alley".
Cue us making that nasty croaking sound down the phone.
"Wankers, your fucking wankers, your not even funny. BASTARDS!!!!"

Oh how we chortled to ourselves.

I used to fast forward past the bit in Star Wars where Luke almost gets eaten by the Dianoga.

Its no biggie nowadays though obviously.

That bloke sitting on a jam jar for sex-fun, I never got past the first few minutes.
The crunching of the glass as he tries to retrieve it from his bum will live with me forever.

Awesome flick, I remember watching it one night with my folks as a kid, and when I went to bed, I think I stayed awake the whole night. I still lay in bed at night, and when I can't sleep... I think of things like that going on somewhere Laughing

Aracnaphobia, got to the bit where the spider jumped into the backpack (right at the beginning) and switched it off like a big girl.

I was about 10, watching Aliens - shit scared all the way through, but when Ripley went down in the elavator to save Newt, I had to turn it off - the suspense literally killed me; not knowing what was going to happen next really fucked me up that day Smile

Anyway, finished it about 4 days later, and now it's my favourite film ever.

When I watched the sixth sense I must have been aged 12-14,
the film was fine but I dare not open my eyes when I was trying to get to sleep, being an insomniac this wasn't allot of fun.
I spent the next few hours making sure that I was completely sealed into a blanket wrap...
I did'nt want to see an inch of light as my immagination was playing tricks on me,
I cowered with nothing but the images of sheet white faces and sunken eyes to comfort me. Embarassed
