 |
|
Broke my wrist before last xmas, cast has been off since Feb but I am in a lot of pain when on the R6 and for a couple of hours after
I love my R6 and if it were not for the wrist I would have only traded it in for another R6 when the model was revamped to warrant doing so.
I'm about to trade it in for a New Street Triple R in grey, been out on the the test bike and really liked the useable power at low revs something i'm not used too.
Would have preferred a mint used STR but there like rocking horse poo, anything else around 6 to 7k I SHOULD try before I buy this Triple ? Must be easy on the wrists, plenty of push from low down and have razor sharp steering ?

"STR"?..what`s that?
What about a tuono...or tuono factory?
I`ve got the RSVR and it`s essentially the same bike but with no fairings and different bars.
Get a test ride...it`s got everything you want and more |

Tuono's coming to the end of it's life now.
Waiting for the RSV4 version. ____________________ My Flickr |

Finally changing and going to look at some bikes this weekend, have had a ride on a street triple R that I really enjoyed but its just too far out my available money for a new one So have drawn up a short list
Street triple 08 (Non R)
Speed triple 05
Fz1 08
Sprint St 55
There all around £5.5 k which is my limit and under 8000 miles
Having never ridden a thou is there that much difference The sprint appeals as its faired but I love the look of the Trumpets and the Fz1 as near as I'll get to an R1
What would you get ?

I'd also think about a Tuono if you're into your twins.... ____________________ Kawasaki ER6n -> Honda CBR600RR -> Honda VTR 1000 -> Moto Guzzi Norge 1200

Well...i go on a couple of aprilia forums and people who`ve actually bought the RSV4 (but had other apes like the RSVR,factory, tuono),,say it`s not as good.
On paper it looks and sounds superb and i bet it`s a stonking bike to own...but when fanatical aprilia owners tell me it`s not as good as the last range...i`m inclined to believe them.
I`m not saying it`s a bad bike though....aprilia dont know how to make bad bikes.
I wouldnt say no to a test ride either |

If you like an edgey, seat of you pants style ride, then get the Tuono. Nothing I've ever ridden even comes close. ____________________ Staffs Riders Forum |

Enjoy.........a mate of mine worked at Triumph dealers, he said the street triple was THE BEST.......and he has ridden and raced lots of bikes
edited to add
keep a VERY close eye on the oil level, there isn't a great deal of oil in them and it's critical (as you would expect) ____________________ I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realise that what you heard is not exactly what I meant |
