Microsoft excel, can't type

I'm trying to make a spread sheet but the bloody thing won't let me type.

It is Microsoft excel 2007 on vista.

What am I doing wrong?

The thing is this laptop is a sort of reposession off my brother ex. So i have no idea.

Agreed. A reinstallation might help. If you don't have the disks and licence to do this you therefore shouldn't be using it anyway

Mine did this ages ago, look for a little message somewhere saying it's a locked document or something.. it was on a cracked version to, had to use a different s/n
