Looking to buy an XR1000 and was sized up at a shop in Harlow, VERY reluctantly Sad he said too many people get sized up then buy off the internet as its so much cheaper... go figure

I'm pretty sure I tried on size 35 pads, they were too lose and then 37 fitted more sungly, this sound right? (numbering I mean, obviously you dont know size of my head)

I swapped out the standard sized cheek pads in my XR as after a few hours use with the standard ones, the lid would be too loose.

Ive put the thicker 37 size pads in mine now, feels alot better Thumbs Up

Just to add, shoei xr1000 (camino in my case) comes highly recommended. Saved my life last week!! It took most of the brunt of my crash as I think I dived head first off my bike into the tarmac... not that I remember much of it mind.... Confused

Good choice

yep it goes 33, 35, 37, 39 and then 43 basicly the higher the number the thicker the pads.

The Xr1000 is an amazing helmet, its now been superseeded by the xr1100 which is a fantastic helmet. We are having a clearance on XR1000's at the moment if anyone is interested.
