I just ordered preview day tickets, they are dearer but that is good it is far less packed than on normal days more babes and more 'celebs'.

This will be the first year I won't be going, the cost of getting there and getting in negate any savings i will get on the gear I want, but not need. I enjoy the shows, but when money is tight something has to go, the money will be spent on going out on my bike instead.

Hi

Normally try and go mid week when the crowds are likely to be smaller. Not sure there is anything I want to buy this year.

All the best

I read somewhere that some of the bigger manufacturers are not going this year, with the cost of putting it all on as the main cause. Economic climate and all that shizzle. I'd still go even if it were just for the goodies you could buy, but to be honest the ticket price to get into what is essentially a shop is fucking staggering.

Hi

Think Honda said they are not going, and they are not on the exhibitors list.

https://www.motorcycleshow.co.uk/mci2009/exhibitor-list.html

Nor are Aprilia or Ducati as far as I can see.

But Bloodrunners have a stand for those who want an "I'm immortal - well so far" T shirt.

All the best

Keith

Aprilla or Ducati haven't been there for a few years now. Ducati went to the excel one though.

Hi

I know Aprilia haven't but thought Ducati had. Thought they were there last year (remember the stand with new shape Monsters on it). Benelli had a large stand last year but don't appear to be there this year.

Can't see Piaggio on the list either and they often have a large stand.

Wonder if the show is going to die in a few years. Couple of years ago they seemed to be wanting to cut down on the small trade stalls. Yet many seem to go to the show for bargains which seem to often be on those small trade stalls.

All the best

Keith

I won't be going on the bike thats for sure. Not after seeing the rozzers noseing around the bike park last year. Me and my bike are ok...just the hassle and delays the cops were causing puts me off.
So yeah i'll be going, hope to get a cheap deal on leathers & lid for my daughter.

I'm going on the Sunday, got my tickets for £10 each through the CSMA. I would have liked to go on the preview day, but the other half will struggle to get it off work, plus I'm not sure it's worth the extra pennies. Never been before, but for £10 I won't be too fussed if it's not that great, plus apparently I'll get access to unlimited free tea and coffee lol with the csma stuff.

I'll go, the gear really was a good deal cheaper a last year - my mate bought Arlen ness boots for 89, an RST leather jacket for 79 etc.

Great pass by Shaggy, and I now have the ball .... steaming down the right wing ... looks up:

The birds have all gone downhill too.
There was a time when you were surrounded by bikini clad beautys in hot tubs (1998) or pole dancing ladys (1987).
Now they all look like they have been dragged out of the local sink estates that morning and shop in Matalans.

for a couple of years, i was able to go on trade day, because someone on here gave us a code. You get to go two days for less than the price of a normal ticket.

Id like to do that again. Can anyone help ? I think the last time i went this way, was the year before last.
