Been looking at scottoilers but they are just too expensive

Seen this and thought I'd give it a go, since its cheap and most of it goes to a bike charity!

Get a loobman its a manual chain oiler. there really good if you make sure that everything is fitting snug Mr. Green and it oils both sides of the chain with very little splatter on your tyre.

The point in getting what I'm on about though is because i couldnt afford that sorta thing. This is £1.50 and the guy just covers his costs, the other 75 percent of it goes to a bike charity

I do notice that all the feedback comments on his fast response etc, none of it comments on whether or not the thing actually works . . .
