Last time was about a year ago. It was £199.99 reduced to £99.99 but you got another £10 off by reserving it online.

I got one of these last time...
A pretty good socket set, but you'll still need some longer bars for those stubborn bolts.
Also I wish it had included and 8mm Hex socket... But all in all very good value when its £99.99.

Anyone on the fence about getting one of these, I have had one for a year now and it's great, no problems, and the tools seem a pretty good quality to me!

Really really nice and am very happy with it.

Just a warning to those who may buy one... it is focking big and really heavy if you are planning on picking it up on the bike then take more than 2 bungees!!!

Ive had my set for about 4 years now and its an excellent piece of kit, only down side is i had to buy the imperial spanners as i use these alot, would be nice if they were included as you get the imperial sockets it the box so why not these, halfords professional is good stuff.

BanditJeff may be right. Certainly when I used to buy odd sockets when I first had a car the Sykes gear was the Premium brand that they carried - back in the early nineties this was, and I don't remember them offering their own Pro stuff then.

For the record the SP stuff was really good, still have the bits I bought at the bottom of the toolbox. A couple of my mates were heavily into SnapOn gear, and their only criticisim was about where I got it.

Halfords Pro stuff is rebranded, but its whoever can produce it cheapest at the time. Britool did make some, Lazer, and SP have all made them for halfords.

And you dont get any extra discount with the trade card. I tried.

just went into the local halfords, the 150pc set is down to £130 with the free 7 drawer box will still put it on my trade card though, it took my squire chain from £110 to £88
