Hi
Don't suppose anyone on here could be good enough to post a piccy of the fuel pump on a Kawasaki ZX6R in situ (or describe it) so I can get an idea of what angle and position it is in on the bike?

Fitted one on my kit car to feed a swirl tank/reservoir and now wondering if they sit horizontally on the bike or whether it would live longer in another orientation or be better sited (positioned about 1/2 way up the tanks level so it does have to suck a little bit to get the fuel out rather than being gravity fed)

Regards
Rob

In the pink box area. Not quite the same bike ('94 ZX9R) and not really a good picture to show it but since noone else has replied thought it might help you at least a little?

Fantastic help mate ..cheers
Looks like they will happily run horizontally then

...just wasn't sure if it was happier running vertically or horizontally, and it didn't seem to change pitch or change flow rates when I was trying out different orientations..so didn't have a clue, which I now do...so thanks once again Smile

Did some very short tests and it did seem to self prime OK, which is handy as its being used to keep the high pressure pump fed (via a swlirl pot) as I think I killed my last one (a 'kin expensive bosch item) due to lack of decent baffling in the tank whilst exploring the limits of traction with some new tyres Crying or Very sad
Hopefully the ZX pump can sustain more than a few seconds being run dry now and again..unlike the HP bosch one
