Hi i have had a problem with my nsr not starting i can get a spark and fuel but the spark is not going between the gap. If i hold the plug away from the cyinder head i get a spark between the bottom of the plug and the head. I also noticed that the plug is nearly black and it has only been in the bike for 2 days please help anyone

put a new plug BR9EIX
buy a couple here

What would be causing the spark plugs to die so quick it has only been in the bike for two days

oil pump adjustment , wrong type of plug

I have checked these and both are correct. I did notice that the idel reves were very low and sometimes cut out the bike when it was running could this problem of contributed to this

possibly also rings worn , you should go to your local mechanic and have a compression test . something under 125PSI is not good
but the standart plug (BR9ECS) is bull shit
