Carlube engine oil 15w40 mineral is £13 at B&Q petrol and diesel.
API SL at £2.60 a litre, would this be ok for a 125 engine if changed every 1k.

ive literally just put that in my bike, feels fine mate.
If anything mfeels smoother, thats mainly because the oil filter i pulled out had may 1999 stamped on it... so im guessing its not had a recent oil change.

Should be fine.

Just changed mine to the above from the £4.99 special 20/50 which has been in for 6K over summer.

Well i got some 15w-40 diesel for a fiver, will give it a spin tomm.
Seems there is a few bikes running on diesel oil.
I will let you know how it goes.

i used to run my petrol car and bike on 15w40 diesel oil, seems to still work Razz

It was a toss up between castrol 10w40 or carlube 15w40 diesel, but the carlube had the e3 e5 rating as well which is heavy duty i believe.
if it runs ok on it i will get the large 5 litre bottle.
