Ok first off, how can I tell if it's a full system or just the end can? Upon inspection the only thing I know of it is the fact that there is a PCIII installed and it's a titanium can... lol

And just wondering, if it were a road legal, end can only akrapovic pipe on a cbr600rr does it make the bike sound any different/louder/quieter?

And I can't seem to take off the old akrapovic stickers to replace them with new ones as it's under-seat Sad any suggestions?

Thanks biker gurus XD lol

If you know titanium you'd tell by flicking your fingernail against the pipe. Colour is also an indication, both natural and where it's been super-heated just out of the block (lovely blues and shit).

If it was off the bike you'd only need to pick it up to know (feather-weight).

If it`s a road legal can with removeable baffles...it`ll make a big difference to the sound if you take the baffles out...a nice one too Wink
With the baffles left in there`s hardly any difference.Just a slightly deeper purr.

If you can`t get the stickers off coz of the can`s position.....take it off the bike first?

Look around the edge of the can near the opening and you should see 1 or 2 little screws somewhere (allen bolts).Unscrew them then pull the inner bit of the exhaust out..Job done.

With the baffles out it`s a much deeper sound when it ticks over and it`s also an almighty scream when you give it some throttle.

The easiest way to see if the down pipes are akrapovic are to look closely at them and see if they are held together with the small springs covered with a black rubber sleve with the logo embossed onto them.

https://www.akrapovic.com/typo3conf/ext/user_products/mod1/uploads/products/akrapovic_racing_evolution_exhaust_system_for_the_honda_cbr_600_rr_2006_/ho_cbr600rr_rac_2006_shem.jpg

If it is road legal it will have the E mark somewhere clearly visable on the can, usally on the end cap, but if you have a hexagonal can it could be somewhere else but still clearly visable

If the baffle is in it will look like this picture, one hole in another. If the baffle is out there will just be one big hole.

https://www.akrapovic.com/typo3conf/ext/user_products/mod1/uploads/products/akrapovic_slip_on_exhaust_system_for_the_honda_cbr_600_rr_2006_/3dece65292816e64f3b09416271b8f11.jpg

There is a rubber bung under the outlet if you remove this you will find the bolt holding the baffle in place, remove this and your baffle will come out revealing the true glory of the can, but make sure you do this with the can cold otherwise you risk wedging or damaging the can and baffle.

Thumbs Up Hope this helps

It's got the E mark markings on the end of the can, the baffle is in because I can see it lol so obviously its a road legal akrapovic end can on a 03 600rr.

Just wondering if this can alters the engine sound compared to the stock?!?!

No...the engine will still sound the same. It`s only the exhaust note that changes.
You might find that the new sound masks the ticking of the engine a bit more than the stock can does...but that`s all.
