need help *sticky keys in game?*

Check out this screen shot, It says my CPU fan is running slow, and my fan on the case is running fast, but its not that, they're the other way round? Looks like who ever built my pc plugged them wrong.
Should i swap them round?
Also remote seems to be on fire, how can i work out what it is?
The reason i downloaded these 2 is i just played CS:CZ and when i left the server i was on, my pc restarted?

The reboot doesnt sound good, but could be as a result of anything overheating not just the CPU. Go into BIOS, or use some motherboard utility program to get some temperature readings. You should be able to look up online what a safe temp range is for your CPU and graphics card.

Keep in mind that its airflow thats important, which isn't exactly the same as fan speed. If for instance your case fan is tiny it will be spinning faster to move the same amout of air as a large CPU fan.

My GPU is heat sinked, no fan to cool it off, my cpu is running at 48 degrees, and my case is open as im waiting for my new GPU to come in the post.
I'm guessing its a bogus temp as suggested on the everest site, its not changed since boot up.
It used to do this back in the day out of the blue, think its the GPU failing? it is mega old and i used to force CS:S on it alot.

Played CS for 5 mins and my CPU temp jumped to 57 from 48.

now my core hasnt hit 60 degrees c but i had my cpu fan on at like 75%, good or bad?
With that said i think its blowing air into the CPU heatsink rather than out, i'm a bit worried my pc hasnt been installed correctly now. i best take the fan off and try it the other way around tommorow and hopefully i will get my GC.

blowing in is correct i believe, and below 60c is fine, that cpu will go all day at 60c so aslong as it keeping the cpu cool it doesn't really matter what rpm the fan is doing, here what mine looks like.

also 700 doesn't sound dangerously slow, mines doing 900 on the slow setting.

Blowing air into the CPU is normal, turning the fan around will make things worse. A temp reading of 60 degrees on the CPU when playing a game used to be fairly normal, though these days with finer circuitry i expect that is as a high as you would ever want to go. Does your cpu fan have different connectors on the end, or is it just the one? If it has multiple then these will have different fan speeds so its worth trying another.

A typical test would be to run a program like 3D Mark on loop for 20 minutes and see if the system is stable or not. Any crashes on this indicate an overheating issue either on the GPU or CPU. If it does this without problem the issue is likely to be one with compatibility with CS:S. in which case updating DirectX and your graphics drivers would be my first port of call

Case is open already, cba putting it back while i wait for my GPU, When i first opened my case there was so much dust in the CPU heatsink am surprised its not fried, quite worried tbh, i really want to build my own pc at somepoint or buy a stupidly powerful gaming rig.
I'll check the plugs etc, the card i bought seems to draw fan power from the PCI-E slot anyway would prefair to power the fan from my 500w PSU but either way am sure it will get power.

which card did you order in the end?, also wouldn't worry about the cpu being fried, if it did damage the cpu would not work, they generally don't sort of work, its work or don't work, i've seen my gpu over the 100c mark a couple of times and it still works as well as the day i got it.

The case being open won't help the fans cool things.. As it stops the proper air circulation.

Right, heres the new problem, cards running fine... i think, i played CS:CZ all day today near enough, but now, out of the blue i randomly lose control of my character, my usb mouse wont look when i tell it too or shoot, and my keyboard which is PS2 connected (the weird pin kind) wont responde either? sticky keys are disabled, but it keeps on doing it and i dont have a clue why. how can i find out? there must be a way?
