well as some of you know i do wiring diagrams
as seen here

i have been using https://www.theimagehosting.com/
to host the diagrams, and up untill recently they have been good with the only restriction being 1 meg max file size, which is fine...

but the kicker is now a fewe of the diagrams have died on there server, and some days i can't upload diagrams to them at all,

and for days on end there servers can be down,
well thats not really on... Very Happy

so your mission kids, should you choose to accept it is.

find me a new hosting site.. with these prerequisites...

1. they dont resize the images
2. they have atleast 1 meg per image
3. i don't have to pay
4. i have the abilities to have folders (eg 1 folder for honda diagrams 1 for yamaha. ect ect)
5. i can log in and am the only one who can alter the diagrams
6. they have click-able thumbnail bb code
7. did i say free Very Happy
8. reliable servers.

many thanks

photobucket is no good as it resizes your images,
and mediafire doesnt have bb code for thumbs

i already use both of these hosting sites, mediafire for manuals, and photobucket for random pics

but neither is what im after for hosting wiring diagrams

keep trying though

Ever heard of pastebin? Unless you're a developer probably not, but there is a version out there for images too:

https://imagebin.ca/

Although, this might not exactly be what you're looking for, it is a quick way of sharing an image.

Photobucket doesn't resize your photos if you select the 1mb limit instead.

Wow, you're right, I did not know that. That's certainly the biggest resolution image I've ever seen on photobucket (these forums resize the image in case some of you are wondering what I'm on about).

Now to put this new information to good use Thumbs Up

ahh well thats something i didnt know,
and i really like the way photobucket works.... but they dont have clickable thumbnails,

im back off imageshack... i tryed to use it,
and while the multi upload option was cool,
you cant upload directly into a pre created folder, you cant even create a folder until you have an image to go in it...

grrrr, back to square 1

ive tryed so many hosting sites now its not funny,
www.theimagehosting.com is really quite well setup, shame its unreliable.
keep them coming guys

as stated i tryed image shack, but didnt like the fact that you couldnt create a folder unless you had a file selected, and its bandwidth is quite shit, i would go over the amount it gives you every month
although i did like that it gave you thumbnail and multiple uploads were easy

i like photobucket alot, but it doesnt have thumbnail bb code, so is not really suitable for wiring diagrams on a forum,

i should really have my own site, but for starters i want the diagrams to be easy to access.. free to every one, and a forum like bcf is the perfect place to have it, plus i like bcf

so any new sites???

If i understand you want to post a thumbnail on a forum to the main image?

https://i469.photobucket.com/albums/rr59/pinewoodjoiners/Flight%20Simulator/th_747F_3.jpg

Mouse over a pic in your folder, select link options at the bottom of the pop up, and turn on the thumbnail option

man how did i not know that. your a gent,

hopefully the bandwidth allocation is enough.
i host just the logos (triumph ducati honda ect ect) at the moment on photobucket and they are getting veiwed 5000 times a day,
and are using 500meg a month of bandwidth with images that are about half a meg total.

all my wiring diagrams are 412meg ..... i think its going to go over the hosting allowance of photobucket

ill try it out, it may turn out that i need to have multiple accounts..
