Just spotted this ... and I can't believe NO ONE has commented on it yet!! Shocked

I think it is the BEST member-taken road footage we have ever had*!! Thumbs Up

People, this is REAL riding ... REAL in action KD - not this roundabout bollox - you can even hear it scraping ... yet BCF silence Sad

Sure, you are being a naughty boy in the NSL speed/police wise, but at least you are showing respect in the 30/40 limit and not overtaking on blind bends!! Thumbs Up

Karma

Oh and one slight comment/constructive criticism - If you can mount the '4rse-shot' camera to one side so we can see level with where the front mirror would be in direct line of vision, it'd make for a great camera position ... at the mo you can't really see much of what is going on ... it'd be good to see what is going on AND you working to make it happen!! Thumbs Up

*well admittedly I can only say "that I have seen" Embarassed

i enjoyed watching it and the quality was superb.

In regard to blue's comment i dont think it's as special as you percieve it to be, no more racey than a lot of folk are capable of anyway and unless i missed something i dont think he got KD from what i could tell. Still a good watch though Thumbs Up

Point it, it's more racy than any other road footage I have seen on here ... its more interesting as it has lots of camera angles ... its not got any sh1te music drowning out the engine sound (sadly the go-pro does seem to lack good sound). He is just going for a blat, at a good pace, but not looking reckless! Thumbs Up

As for KD, I thought I heard scraping at some point - perhaps not??? ... ether way, he IS using the KD technique for real!! ... i.e. shifting his weight/a55 about - knee out to aid his riding ... not just mindlessly circling a roundabout, actually putting it to good use!! Thumbs Up

Anyhoo, if people are having more interesting rides, then they are not filming it and putting it on here for my/our entertainment!! Wink

As for the lass, she is cute, but actually giving the 'little finger' ... its from a road safety advert thingy Wink

As i said it was my first video, more of a test of the camera and what it can do. i took alot more footage with kneedowns in but i dont regard a kd as anything that special.

Il dig the footage out though if you want?

i wasn't having a go or putting you down in any way, from what i can see in the vid you look like a pretty good rider(not that my opinion count's for much Laughing ).

the bike seems fairly rapid, had any mod's done? Just looks to accelerate a lot harder than mine lol

no, i have a cbr600 i was just comparing the speed difference between 600cc sports bikes, hard to tell with video's though, yours just seems to clear overtakes faster is all and sounds smoother but again its hard to tell just by an audio recording

Wink

For some reason, the camera makes the bends look much more open/flowing than they are on the vid (hero wide again).

Note - I'm not riding onboard, i'm following (get left for dead due to lack of grunt Sad ) but the guy riding the R6 onboard is STUPIDLY quick if you get him on a road he knows, brilliant technique but very quick Wink

I was hoping my comments would drag something worthwhile out and you sir didn't disappoint!! Thumbs Up

There was some real pace there and on open roads ... it was like watching the TT!! Shocked

Fantastic roads, where is that?

It's Holme Moss near holmfirth (West Yorkshire)

The start is at the bottom just outside Holme, run up the side to the top and drop down the other side which if you go about another 300 yards on from where we turned around, you will hit 'Woodhead Pass'.

I usually go that way if i am heading towards Glossop (road from woodhead pass to glossop is even better Wink ). From Glossop you can go over 'Snakes Pass' or towards buxton and do the Cat and Fiddle Very Happy

I love living up north, loads of twisty roads Very Happy

Edit - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=stvBPSomcAA&feature=channel

That road is from Congleton Crossroads' which goes upto the Cat and Fiddle. It was our first time on the road (well, we rode down it and then turned around and rode back, vid is of the ride back)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0BJk9dLpbgA&feature=channel

Same people (well, 3 of us) messing around on the same stretch of road. Was dropping cool and a bit dull so didn't want to go for a totally mad hoon. I fail at wheelies, hence no wheelies from me*

*disclaimer - For the purpose of the video, a professional rider was employed to part take in the events performed on a private, closed circuit. Any legal proceedings will be gladly shit on and sent back to the sender. Razz
