Shingles!

Not a do i have it, its been confirmed i do have it. And my god i never thought a viral infection in the skin that could top Cellulitis in the pain department.

Been suffering from really bad tingling pains, and then sudden stabbing pains that make me jump, which i'm assuming is normal for shingles?

I've been giving Aciclovir 800 mg and also Co Codamol 30/500 mg. 4 days in and its still just as bad, if not worse.

Now as i work with vulnerable adults, my Mum, a nurse has recommended i take a week off to rest, which i agree with.

However some of you may remember i posted a topic about work issues in regard to sickness https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=179046 this one, since then i've worked 49.5 - 56 hours a week for them till this week. Now i'm due in tommorow, and i cant get a sick note till monday, so if the unreliable issues arise again, how do i go about solving them?

Just call them and get note in the week or on monday, i was told once about not needing a note for the first week, may be incorrect ...

7 days self, after that need GP letter.

You shouldn't be near anyone in hospital if you have shingles, they should understand.

Well I'm hoping to get back for next Thursday, although it doesn't seem to be getting any better.

Rang them up and they just said stay at home till its gone

Had to cancel a appointment to get my Hernia looked at tho which is gay
