can anyone advise me where to put all the wiring hanging out behind the headlamp/dash Confused

Inside the back of the headlamp shell. That's where it goes as standard.

There is usually so much wiring in there that you have to arrange it round the edges, kind of like a birds nest so there is room for the back of the bulb holder to squeeze in in the middle.

i knew you`d be there for me stinkwheel, well i thought that but there seems an awful lot to stuff in there, i`ll give it a go, still misfiring on right pot, did what you said, swopped ht leads, cdi units, plugs coils so i`m getting a new pilot jet, its just popping on tickover, like a 2stroke, thanks again.

It's often worth re-insulating the wiring, as it can get spread out over time and end up being a pain to re-install. I've lost count of the number of times I've had problems getting wiring back where it should go.
