Alternative CDI maybe? DT230

Hi
I have a 2001 DT230 complete with rev limiter and annoying traction control. Any thoughts on if a cdi from a dt200r or wr200 might be a way of getting around this?

doubt it as the dt230 is based off the dt125re/dt125x and the dt200wr was based off the dt125r. I know the cdi between the dt125r and the dt125re/x is different. even the wiring loom is different..

what code is on the cdi?

edit.. just realised you said its an 01.. didnt make dt125re/x before 04... need to check if the wires are the same on a dt/wr cdi as on the dt230...
