When do you put the bike into hibernation?

In another thread, someone commented on putting their bike away for winter, today. Seems early to me tbh. So when does the beast go in to the shed/garage/etc for it's winter lay off? (If it has a winter lay off).

I've included Never for the people that brag about riding all year.

Guestimate/average obviously.

This year is july - november, solely because I'm working abroad until then, probably would put it away for a month or two if I had a car though

The TDM never, the 4 will not be away as such but won't be coming out much now, I have just had it serviced I plan on giving it a craigesk clean then hardly using it over winter in the spring it will get a new set of tyres and a thrashing.

Tried to be a hero last year and ride through the winter...but from now on my "main" ride will stop getting used as soon as the road conditions become dangerous.I might still ride in the snow/ice but it`ll be done on a cheap hack this year instead.
If i had a car aswell as the bikes i dont think i`d bother riding at all through harsh winters unless i was travellling during rush hour.

Never. If it's snowing or is absolutely horrendously wet/icy I will use the car, but otherwise I'll be riding as normal. Hell, did my lessons through the winter and test in February!

Never and I do ride on snow and ice and have done previously.

Just the thought of using a steamed up, hot, damp bus/train, full of germs, squashed together like tinned sardines gives me the guts (or stupidity ) to keep going and never give up.

I ride all year round, unless it's LITERALLY a blizzard of epic proportions, however I will put the TT away for winter in favour of the 125. Currently looking to swap the 125 for a quicker hack.

When I had the 185 and CX500s I'd ride on snow and ice but from experience I've found the Pan is very difficult to pick up again when on sheet ice.

Ride in everything apart from ice and snow.. I do have the car still so if its 'really' bad (i.e. pissing down heavy + 30mph+ winds and a good chance it'll be dark) then i'll take the car.

I've done the pissing down, high speed wind, cold as shit and dark and it isn't fun and occasionally you'd be quicker in the car because you can't see a thing on the bike.

Saying that, I remember riding a few times last winter and seeing gritters out and about, it didn't seem that icy then though.

I'll use my CBR occasionally through winter if the roads are clear, probably do some snowy greenlaning on the XT too but I've got 2 cars as well so I won't be riding to work every day that's for sure

My bikes are MOT'd and taxed all year round. As to them getting ridden again this year - nothing planned although the 750 might get a day or two running into work as it sulks like fuck if left stood.
