Hi

I've got about 1500 quid to spend on a new enduro bike. I want it to be road legal (for snow days). The wr400 seems like a good bike.

Does anyone know what the service schedule is like? What is it like off road?

Are they fairly easy to kick start?

Thanks
Ed

There have been quite a few posts with 'my' views on this.

I wanna know everything there is to know!

I might be tempted to get a 426 or 450, just for the magic button. Are these two just as reliable?

Thanks
Ed

Only the 450 03+ is electric start. The 426 is kick only.

I currently own a 2005 wr450f. i use it most days, Never fails to start, if left for about 3-4 days, i give it a few flicks of the throttle to activate the accelerator pump and its away.
Never fails to start, and with an automatic decompressor they are Not difficult to kick start atall.

look out for gearbox issues, slipping out etc.

any more info, just ask.

steve.

Probably only a WR400 or maybe a 426 for that money, doubt you'd get a 450 for that as they are slightly newer and more sought after due to electric start.

hmmm... I may be able to stretch to 2k. I fancy a 400cc+ off road bike, with electric start, and the wr seems prefect.
