Hopefuly someone can help me with this. Smile

A few weeks ago I had new head bearings fitted. After a little while the front of the bike got a bit shaky and had loads of vibration coming through the bars. I took the bike back and they poked it for a couple of minutes and it was perfect again.

However a week on and it's going all shaky again, what's going on?

Thanks.

Also, with the new head bearings the steering twitches about under hard acceleration on bumpy roads. That's fairly normal isn't it?

It isn't normal at all, bearings shouldn't have to bed in at all.

You may find your front wheel isn't in properly or the bearings they fitted are buggered.

The other thing it could be is you have lost the wheel weights.

Hi

If they are not fitted correctly then they will bed in like this. However they also stand a chance of being buggered from the hammering they are getting when the bike is ridden with them loose.

All the best

Keith
