Not yet but been quite seriously considering it, the temperature has taken quite the nosedive in the last week or so.

I've settled for switching from leathers to textiles for now, big shandy-drinker that I am... Embarassed Laughing

Hi

Use winter gloves for much of the year. If I tried using summer gloves now for my journey to work then I suspect I wouldn't be able to feel my fingers before I was half way there.

All the best

Keith

I've now already fitted my inner jacket thermals, started wearing my winter gloves and also the buff. And after this morning I think I need to start wearing my trouser thermals too!! It was bloody freezing... Mr. Green Not had to switch on the heated grips yet though...

Got a pair of silk inners and an EDZ base t shift today. The lining will be going back in the leather jacket as getting a little tired of saying 'im freezing' for miles and miles early in the morning.

I've had the heated grips on a couple of times recently.
I wear leather water-proof gloves most of the year.

Just wear what you feel comfortable with......

If everyone else said NO and stop being such a woose, would you go back to thinner gloves and risk a accident, because you lost feeling in your hands.... Rolling Eyes

Loads of people wear textiles/leathers all year round as they feel safer with the added protection they give, should you fall off.

Its you riding the bike, so take no notice of what others say or do.... Thumbs Up Karma

God it was cold this morning, so the winter gloves are out, as well as the jacket's thermal liner and the balaclava. It's an Oxford Chill Out one, and I have to say it's absolutelty excellent. I feel no cold or rain on my neck at all, and it keeps my head nice and really warm but not overly so. I am saving up to get the shirt and trousers from that range to wear as a base layer, with my textiles on top, and carrying clothes in my top box to change into when I get to work. Should provide a backup bit of waterproofing in the biggest of downpours. I'll look like something out of star trek but at least I'll be warm, dry and safe. Thumbs Up

Have used the heated grips a couple of times now and am thinking of putting the thermal lining in my jacket.

My biggest problem is cool air making my eyes water.

Bought a pair 2 days ago and not used my leather ones since.
It`s the first time i`ve had a pair of winter gloves and while they may not have as good a feel as leather for the clutch and throttle...they sure are warm and snug Laughing

bring it on jack frost....i`m ready for you! Wink
