Not sure whether this is the right section for this, but here goes anyway.

There's a set of Daytona Heated Grips already installed on my Triumph Tiger by the previous owner, but they don't seem to be working - even with all lights on etc. Since I know next to FA about electrics I don't want to go digging around trying to work out exactly how they are supposed to work incase I mess something up good and proper (the bike is my main transport), so could someone please give me a basic tutorial in how the grips should be wired so I have something to go on?

Cheers,
Stu

without a few pics, of the installation we can only guess
however IF the grips are wired into the OEM hotgrip plug, that is located between the clocks & the headlight, and may have come loose.

You really need to find out where they`re wired into, and work from there. They may be just connected direct to the battery terminals

Cheers, but I what I was really looking for was if anyone had an installation guide for installing them from scratch - It's a '96 tiger, so as far as I'm aware there's no plug in and play type OEM socket. Basically, I can see what the ends are plugged in to, but I don't have any idea whether they are the right things it should be plugged in to (if you follow me?) and thus whether it is the grips which are faulty or the connections are wrong...

There are many diffrent ways these can be installed.
Going from just straight from the battery. To then running through a relay.

What you need to do is trace the wire's back from the grips and create a diragram.
Even something basic in paint will help....

That way it will give people a chance to see how its been done.

Best guess if not working is fuse blown, or not even connected up.
Also you could search the "Workshop" forum as there were wiring diagrams on how it should be done.
