Anyone got a link to a decent picture of a bike, going round a bend with the rider looking at where he (or she) wants to go, not where they are going. Not target fixing but looking through the bend.

I am trying to explain it to my non-bike riding dad and I think it is only going to happen if I show him a pic or two.

Brilliant! Thank You all very much, I will print a couple off and show them to the old bugger. He's was a maths teacher so he gets the counter-steerinmg thing (gyroscopic effect etc) but this was to illogical for him.

I too found it illogical when doing my CBT. The poor instructor must have been loosing the will to live Embarassed I picked it up when he demonstraited it.

Don't show him pics of Rossi, he looks at the bend/apex rather than where he is going for the most part. Seems to go against logic but apparently works for the guy... Laughing

agree ... most pics of rossi, he seems to have his head down looking about 2 feet in front of him and not looking thru the corner as advised by the "experts" but as said it works for him and who is gonna argue against that...
