Backfiring Illegal?

Are backfires illegal?

I mean the nice lound ones when you fiddle the killswitch, not ones where the fuelling and zorst is buggered. ( I have both types...)

I imagine it would could be construed as anti-social behaviour or something silly like that but I imagine that would be more of a civil offence than a traffic one?

At least I don't combine gunfingers with backfires....

could get a section 59 for it which means if you they catch you again you have no bike..

if you scream your bike down the street before like 6-7 am or after about 10-11pm then you could a section 59 for it

I used to run an old VW type 3, and to be fair it was crap, one night I had picked up a few mates stopped in the petrol station, heard the idle drop slightly, I now know its rather warm and will start backfiring if I turn it off...

Some jobs worth comes running over telling me to turn my car off you are not allowed to have the engine running on a petrol station forecourt, so I asked should all patrons push there cars upto the petrol station and out when arriving blah blah fuck off lol, he then got really angry and told me to turn it off, so I explained if I turn it off when it restarts I know that there will be alot of fire coming out the exhaust, ill leave it running.

Shove came to push I turned it off, almost ready to get out and bludgeon him with a petrol pump, said, yeah fine I will turn it off, but if this place goes up in flames on your head be it... I turned it off, mates got back in car, I started it back up and like clockwork it started spewing fire out the exhaust, I drove out and its still spewing flames out the exhaust, wound down the window and shouted "I told you so you C***!"


Anyways I the drove down into town, with high buildings, quite narrow and really echoes, car had calmed down slightly, but every 300 miles it would bog down for about a minute, cutout, bump itself throw a load of oil out and make the loudest backfire ever..... It did that in the high street, a good 300 people dropped to there knees with there hands over there heads, my mate in the car park almost went through his sunroof.



Whilst laughing it dawned on me, there was a bomb scare in town that day, everyone though something had exploded, so many people hated me that night for making them look like fools, worth it though

Usually bad fueling,
Like fuel not burnt in combustion then suddenly gets a spark and BAM big explosion, hencve why the killswitch method throws loads of fuel in then when engine is allowed a spark again theres loooads of fuel about to ignite.

What harm would backfiring from the kill switch do??

I would suspect it would + carbon in the eignie, - spark plug life, and ruin exhaust?
