Ok this happened months ago but i though i would share it with u peeps. ok so i parked up outside my wifes work place to meet her for her lunch break (i work nights) we always sit on a bench and there is 1hr max parking on the same road. usually i cant park there because its usually busy but this day i got to park right opposite the bench... dont worry im getting to the point Smile

so im sat on the bench chatting to the wife when a woman in a car slowly passes my bikes parking spot and stops, and decides to park right alongside my bike!! im sat there, gobsmacked at what im seeing. once she has "parked" she then realises that she cant get out her drivers door...but she gives it a go anyway and smacks her door into the side or my bike! anyway by this point im up and shouting at her but she just ignores me, she just climbs out the passenger door and walks away with me shouting at her. but she looked at me and walked off!

heres a picture so you can see for yourself. also notice how she hit the car behind too

https://img392.imageshack.us/img392/1341/222p.th.jpg

also yes i know i should have parked more in the middle but live and learn Razz

And been left with a hefty insurance claim, criminal damage or whatever the hell seems to be the flavour of the month.

A lipstick message or large penis on the windscreen would have been more appropriate and satisfying.

Almost touching the other car too.
Is it because she thinks it's *her* place near the house, so no-one else should use it?!

she actually hit the car behind quite hard. i left a note on that car incase they wanted to do anything. i actually went to the cops about it and showed them all the photos. the woman lived nowhere near and she didnt park there for long as once she walked off i took some pics then ran off to find a traffic warden, after 2 mins off looking i came back to find she had moved the car, good job i took the photos when i did

Kinda related. Some inconsiderate bugger blocked a mate of mine's car in at uni.
Luckily he was car sharing with 3 other lads. After getting the car out, they proceeded to lift boulders that took all of them to lift and place them strategically around the offenders vehicle, inconveniencing the arsehole no end, without causing criminal damage.

Typical case of arrogance, 'bikes don't count' or 'you cant park a bike there its for cars'.

My blood would have boiled.

I may have been tempted to get the bike out and put it right in front of the car and then sat there with my video cam running Sad

Tbh, that's pretty idiotic bike parking, too. Most bikers park perpendicular to the kerb to take up less space. Well, apart from one idiot on Millbank who insists on parking his C1 like that in a bike bay.

Well i did say on the fisrt post that my parking position didnt help matters. at the time i had only been riding for about a month. as i said live and learn Smile its all good fun now thats why i posted this now rather than at the time because at the time i was crazy with rage! i park different nowadays but you would be suprised how many people ask me to move my bike so they can park there instead! to be honest i look forward to when that happens, its a chance for a good argument with the car driver (i pay my road tax ive got just as much right to park there as he does etc) the reason i posted this was to show what i believed all along.. that a lot of car drivers dont recognise bikes as proper vehicles with the same rights as car drivers.
but i dont want to rant Razz i find the whole thing rather amusing now

oh i got my mod 2 on the 27th oct and im shitting myself! Sad

It is pretty unfreakin believable how disrepectful people can be.

There's not much parking on my road but I have to park my bike on the road outside my house (as I've no garage) and my neighbours are constantly bitching that they have trouble parking their cars as my bike is there. They should be bloody thanking me for not driving a car that takes up even more of their precious road space! For the sake of good relations, I try to park as considerately as possible using up minimal room but really there is just no pleasing some people. One of them was suggesting I keep it in my house just for thier convenience FFS!!

You can actually be nicked for criminal damage for doing so, as you are changing the tyres so that they require action to return them to their proper state.

If they actually drive on deflated tyres they are likely to 'properly' damage the tyres, rims or both as well.

Just tell them you are selling it soon and that you're getting a Lincoln Continental or something just as outlandishly long. Thumbs Up

I parked in a shopping centre car park, nothing unusual.
Came back to a clio parked tight to the passenger side of the van, Needed to get the car seat in that door which clearly wasn't happening.

My OH got quite frustrated and kept slamming the door off the rear of the clio (3 door) causing quite an impressive dent/mess.

Stuck a note with an arrow pointing towards the dent saying "Remember when you were a kid and you coloured outside the lines and it ruined the picture, Well your car is the picture, and it's parked outside the lines...."
