Why not just go the whole hog and privitise Britain instead? Thumbs Down How long will it be before the Conservatives announce that the armed forces and the NHS will be privatised?

I think Gordon Brown is already way ahead of the Tories on privatising Britain and selling off assets .
When Labour came to power one of the first things he did was sell off most of Britain's gold reserve's when the price of gold was at something like a 20yr low! They have also introduces PPP plans for NHS hospitals and rail operators (and done nothing but bail them out) and are currently trying their hardest to sell off Royal Mail.
Plus he is now having a fire sale of government assets (Chunnel, student loan book, TOTE and their 32% stake in the Uranium processing company Urenco) to try and raise a few billion.

There will be nothing left to privatise when the Tories come to power at the next election. Well apart from a few weather stations Rolling Eyes

Good evening, this is BBC weather, a subscription only service. For those of you without a subscription, here is some cheap elevator music.

TBH I find the best way to predict the weather is to look out the window. It's about as reliable as the met office.

The gradual destruction and decline of a once advanced country. Same thing is happening to the US and most other old-school advanced countries. There's a definite link between the rise in population and the declination of societies once an advantageous peak has been reached and then exceeded. It's a bit like being in a boat that initially floats a bit high due to low weight carried, and rides badly, then settles down and goes quite well as a good weight is reached, then starts to wallow as the weight becomes too much. Finally water starts coming in over the edges and that's when the frantic bailing starts.

Labour are bailing water like cvnts right now, but it's only putting off the inevitable sinking of the floundering boat. The tory scum are promising bigger buckets of course.

Nicely put. A bit depressing but true. It's why I really don't understand Britain updating trident, ID cards, going to war, Foreign aid, England funding scottish and welsh assemblies, Olympics, benefits system, mass immigration and generally acting billy big bollocks on the world stage.

How exactly does England fund Scotland and Wales?

Again, the answer to that is so simple the average person can't grasp it, due to the inherent belief that no leader could be so basic.

Never the less the answer is accurate...our leaders (just about any leader of any country) are driven by their egos to appear as big and powerful and important as possible to their peers. Nuclear weapons are penis extensions. "Oh god no! Nobody in a position of such power could possibly be motivated by something so incredibly pathetic!"

But they are. They're just humans after all, no different at all to anyone else in the street.

Fwiw, the Met office have to be right 51% of the time to meet their current conditions for the military.

In Air Traffic, we prefer the string method of telling the weather...

String wet -> rain
String blowing in X direction -> Wind from X direction
String hidden in cloud -> Foggy
Etc.

Well done Air Traffic. Thumbs Up

In the rest of the world however, String blowing in X direction -> Wind from complete opposite of X direction.

So, for the benefit of Air Traffic , here are two completely identical pictures:

While agree with all the other stuff on your list there, England isn't funding the Scottish Government, it's fatuous and on a par with saying Scotland caused the current economic problems because two or three of the banks have the word in their names.

Thumbs Up
