neah i dont do gixxers full stop to be honest but all srad's just look lardy, round and damn well ugly, in comparison to the kawas and yamaha's competing with them.
Nope nope. if you want a 'pretty' sports bike you go late 80's early 90's ____________________ Current Bike: 1996 Yamaha TRX850 (The Japanese-Ducati One).

Suzuki claimed in 1996 that the frame (including geometry and everything) was based on Kevin Schwantz's 1994 GP bike.

The looks are pretty similar too... ____________________ British beauty: Triumph Street Triple R; Loony stroker: KR1S; Track fun: GSXR750 L1; Commuter Missile: GSX-S1000F; Cheap project: CBR900RR FireBlade
Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another. |

Yes i knew the frame was derived from Suzuki's RGV 500 but did'nt know about the rest of it
allways thought the only road going bike based on a gp bike back then was the RGV250 witch looks exactly the same as Kevin Schwantz's 500 monster , it even came in lucky strike colour's
but ill stand or sit as the case maybee corected ____________________ hayabusa trike |

Swapped bikes with a mate who has one of these for a few weeks earlier this year.
Personally I think they look great, if a little fat in places, especially in light of recent style trends.
But the bike itself is a great ride. Completely but predictably gutless below 8000rpm, so great for shitty weather. You get a kick between 8-10k rpm and then they just go absolutely mental from 10k right to the redline. Mind you, even in first you have to be doing 45+ to get above 10k revs. Far more intimidating and thrilling than the '900 blade despite less peak power. Handled brilliantly too, especially on smooth sweeping bends where it felt like you could just power through faster and faster without upsetting the stability of the bike. Comfort wasn't the best with a proper bum up head down riding position.
I'd have a mint one ____________________ Current: Ducati Panigale R / Ducati Streetfighter S / Suzuki GSX-R1000 L5 |
