My TL1000R, finished just how I want it!

I bought the bike, now christened "custard" off a mate a few months ago. The poor thing had been sat for 4 years unloved and rotting in a garage.



After a few weeks of sourcing parts she was up and running but not looking quite how I wanted!

So now she wears.....

I know she isnt the cleanest, tidiest or fastest TL out there, buy im very pleased with her. She is the best bike Ive owned by far and Im happy!

Arguably the best mods to your bike are the stickers! Reminds me of my ZXR250 where I had the Mark Tom & Travis caracatures on my tank lol! I'm tempted to find All Time Low stickers for my bike but that would make me look ghey!

Bike looks really tidy. Let me know how you get on with the dunlop Quali2's. i liked the Qualis and obviously the Roadsmarts but might be tempted to get stickier stuff when I start doing track days next spring.

Are the galfers much of an improvement over stock? I'm tempted to get waveys, either braking or galfer IF they do offer improvement. My bikes are notorious for having strong brakes however.

What brembo pad compounds you running by the way? I've got some of the red sintered road ones (SA) at the moment and it gives a rock hard feeling at the lever. They stop on a sixpence though from speed. I was trying to think if the "shaved weight" would quicken the steering or is it negligable?
