Hey guys,

I'm looking to buy a top of the range Motocross helmet for around 100 squid.

https://www.crf50shop.com/images/FOX-V3Explosion.gif

Is what I have my eyes set on but the price is very steep.

Has anyone seen something with the same sort of colour scheme and style for a cheaper price?

cheers!

Top of what range? Try £440 if you want a top of Shoei's range helmet.

Now we've established it seems you can't afford the real 'top of the range' helmets, why not base your first choice on best fit, presuming it's going to be used to protect your head, not just sit on a shelf looking pretty?

G, before you go off guns blazing you got to get one thing straight.

The price of something doesn't simply establish that something is top of the range. Top of the range refers to the best quality build for the best possible price.

The helmet i've shown above costs around £200 for me, i'm 100 quid short.

Tell me, why i'm going to fork out an extra £220 for differences that wont safe my life.

I quite agree on not getting the most expensive, but I've never heard some one use 'top of the range' to describe something that is not, well, at the top of the, err, range Smile.
Best build quality for best possible price is going to be very dependent on a lot of factors.

I still stick to the fact I believe fit should come first, rather than style. A cheap helmet with poorer build quality but a good fit will most probably protect better than an expensive helmet with better build quality that does not fit so well.
