I would seriously consider whether you need one?
I have occasionally found it useful when on track on the 675, but when I had one on the R6 that didn't work half the time, I didn't miss it when it didn't.

If you haven't even ridden it properly yet, I'd hold off for the moment Smile.

I was also thinkin about how much i would use it but i like the fact u can get it with the battery meter built in aswell and i think it would be a good thing to have on a old bike also on my other bikes i do find myself looking for a 7th gear lol, did you fit yours yourself and did you ever find out why it didnt work on the r6

The 675 has it on the dash as standard, not Acumen. I never bothered on the R6 because it's really not /that/ useful.
You can get a battery level meter for a lot less.
As I've said to others, 'JFRI' Wink.

I'd say spend your money on something more worthwhile. Suspension setup maybe?

And everyone is looking for that mysterious 7th gear Laughing

I usually find that 7th gear (on mito, lol)
f*cking useless though.
never really seen the point of those gear indicators, though was using some chinky 200 recently which had one fitted as standard, & actually got quite used to it.
chers,

Probably a bit of both for suspension.
Cost will be from free to lots.
New springs may be a good idea if it's a bit tired, and a general service elsewise. Still fairly cheap if you do it yourself.

I dont have stupid money to spend but i am willing to put a bit of money into my bike as the old saying goes ''look after the bike and it'll look after you'' so what would be adequate suppension wise to bring and old bike into shape as i have no clue about suspension, what do i want it to do that it isnt already doing

Frankly, it'll probably be 'ok' as it is if you're a relative 'newbie'.
Get the pre-load set up and that'll be better though - and is free and easy to do.
Fork oil, seals and bushes will come to maybe £30, not too hard a job to do yourself with a few tools. Another £70 for fork springs.
Have to make some calls for shock servicing, which you'll probably have to pay someone to do.

To be fair, you probably don't need to do anything to the bike at all at this point, wait until your more used to it before trying to improve on it.

My point really, was that it's money that can be put to much better use than on a speedo and gear indicator!
