How many times have you won on the lottery and whats the most you`ve won?

So far i`ve won on it 23 times Rolling Eyes highest amount was £66 off 4 numbers and most of the others were just £10 with the exceptiion of 3 payments of £2-3 for getting 1 digit on dream number Rolling Eyes

The worst thing for me about winning so many times is the sunday morning process i have to go through when i check my emails.
They send you an email saying "GOOD NEWS ABOUT YOUR LOTTERY TICKET" so straight away you know you`ve won something.
Next you go through an agonising 2-3 minutes while logging into the website to see what the amount is.....but before the 2-3 minutes have passed you`ve already decided what you`re gonna buy with the 10 million you think won.......only to find out it`s just the usual measly £10. Rolling Eyes

I`m starting to hate the lottery and dont think i want to play it anymore. It`s a shit feeling having your dreams shattered on a regular basis Thumbs Down
I know you`ve go to be "in it to win it"...but still. Thumbs Down

30 wins for a total of £482, two tickets a week on the same number I started with back in 1994. Biggest prize so far was £82 for four numbers.

Considerably less, as the wed draw didn't come in from the start and I was out of the country for around two years at one point.

If I hadn't chosen fixed numbers right from the start I would have stopped doing it, but the thought of seeing my numbers had come up one day without a ticket doesn't bear thinking about. Neutral

Most I've won is £15 on the Euromillions. That was the only time I've ever bought a euromillions ticket as well. 100% success!

Scratch card win £36 higest.
Ticket win maybe £10 10 years ago. I do remember winning £6.00 last xmas on euromilions. I do my lotto online now and dont seem to have any luck. Sometimes on the online scratch cards I get my £2 back but nothing in the draws Crying or Very sad I could really do with winning to.

I play it regularly, usually do a couple of 'lucky dips' for both the Euro & the Saturday Lotto.
Have won a tenner, once.

Crying or Very sad

However, that means that when i eventually win, i'll win it big! All you bastards who've had multiple wins have squandered your luck, and will now never hit the jackpot.

Very Happy

At least, that's what i keep telling myself.

Im surprised Hetzer! Of all the people to play the lottery someone as (seemingly) intelligent plays a game that has such bad odds it is unreal, unless of course you are paying the £2 a week for the few minutes of excitement as they build up to and reveal the balls.

I have played approx 10 times and won a tenner

The lottery is a tax on stupidity.

https://www.webmath.com/lottery.html

Here are some other odds for the sake of comparison:
* You have about a 1 in 2,000,000 chance of being struck by lightning.
* A pregnant woman has a 1 in 705,000 chance of giving birth to quadruplets.
* Someone eating an oyster has a 1 in 12,000 chance of finding a pearl inside of it.

When i was around 6, my dad let me pick the numbers on his ticket and it won £10. Tight bastard made me give each of my sisters £3 and pay him the £1 for the ticket. So in the end i only got £3, i felt robbed Crying or Very sad

I rarely do the lottery, but when i have done it, i haven't won anything.

I've won a few times on scratch cards, biggest win being £96 iirc (well, i had bought 3 scratch cards). Won £20-30 a few times but normally just £2 or so.

Who was it on here who's old man won the jackpot? Can't remember his name but was a nice chap.

He didn't seem to go on about the money which made me respect him even more.

I have never done the lottery. Therefore I have never won any from it, but then again - I haven't spent any on it either! Cool

I've won £10 quite a few times and won £70 once. I do 3 lines a week by direct debit.

To be honest, £3 a week is absolutely nothing to me so I don't miss it, I don't really drink, don't smoke or do drugs so meh!

With regard to odds, it may well be stacked against you, but the fact is, people win it.. every week SOMEONE wins big (well almost every week), the odds its ME are extremely high and I probably never will win big but SOMEONE has to win it....one day I MIGHT though, provided I enter, as SOMEONE has to win Razz

I play, but I'm not relying on winning.. it would be nice to though!

Never won more than a tenner.

I only play sporadically, do a 'lucky dip' and only ever a pound ... I know/understand the odds, but I don't care, I get quite a bit of 'dreaming' pleasure and the rush when subsequently checking the numbers online at some undetermined time after, to me that is easily worth £1 every now and then!! Thumbs Up
