How can I stretch suede?

I have some white and grey trainers that I bought about a month ago, that cost me £70. They are canvas with suede patches around the back and front of the shoe. So they were a bit dirty and my mum chucked the in the washer (yes I know, I would have hand washed them! Mad).

Well as you can probs guess, the suede parts have shrunk and now my toes won't fit in the front part of the shoe.
So is there a way I can un-shrink the suede? I have tried soaking them and that didn't really help much.

Anyone have any ideas?

As above, get them wet ( not soaking ) and place shoe stretchers in them and leave them untill dry, can't see why that shouldn't work...
